By Air
The nearest airport to Alcudia is Palma de Mallorca Airport (PMI), which is well-connected to major cities across Europe. For travelers who are arriving from International destinations, you will likely fly via Madrid or Barcelona, usually with a short stop-over.
From the airport, you can reach Alcudia by various means of transportation.
- Taxi: Taxis are readily available outside the airport, and the journey to Alcudia takes approximately 50 minutes. It is advisable to negotiate the fare beforehand or ensure the meter is running.
- Car Rental: Renting a car at the airport gives you the freedom to explore the region at your own pace. This is definitely our preferred option as the island is quite large and there really is so much to see and explore that renting a car just makes sense.

- Public Transportation: Buses (the A32 bus line) run regularly from the airport to Alcudia. The journey typically takes around an hour, and tickets can be purchased at the airport, online, or on the bus. Do note though that services may be limited or less frequent during the quieter winter months.
By Ferry
If you prefer to arrive by sea, you can take a ferry from the Spanish mainland or other Balearic Islands to the Port of Alcudia. The ferry connections are reliable and provide a scenic approach to the island.
From the mainland you will most likely make use of the Balearia ferry service from Barcelona to Alcudia with a journey time of around 6 hours and pricing starting from as low as €25 one way.

Note that at this point in time cab hailing services such as Uber are not readily available in Alcudia. It has been announced that Uber would start to operate services on Mallorca as of June 2023 but is available mainly in the areas of Palma, Andratx, Calvia, and Llucmajor which are located more in the south of the island.
